PEES conducts Teacher Professional Development for K-12 schools that either use the workshops we describe in this brochure or prepare customized workshops on topics that meet your specific needs. Major topics areas include scientific inquiry, ecology education, environmental science and environmental education. Workshops will promote more effective classroom instruction and can be structured to focus on training teachers at particular grade levels, utilizing specific types of resources (e.g., a nearby natural resource area, science kits), as well as meeting the special needs of your students.

Curriculum Development

PEES can help you navigate through a kaleidoscope of challenges in order to design a quality curriculum for one class, one grade or the entire school. This may mean designing an entire curriculum or simply improving on an existing curriculum in order to significantly enhance the academic achievement of your students in our specialty areas of scientific inquiry, ecology education, environmental science and environmental education.

Education Programs & Assemblies

PEES offers K-12 science education programs and assemblies, with topics focusing on natural history, ecology, environment and conservation. Programs provide hands-on opportunities for a classroom of students to learn and apply scientific inquiry skills in a creative way. Assemblies are given to larger audiences. Live animals (mainly birds of prey) are used in all assemblies to more effectively engage students.

We work closely with each client to identify your specific needs so that we can create solutions that will be both cost effective and achieve credible results. After perusing this website, please call or write for additional information or to request a no obligation proposal for teacher professional development workshops, curriculum development and/or programs and assemblies.
